Gühring Named Top Schaeffler Supplier

Gühring oHG, the German manufacturer of precision cutting tools, has received the Schaeffler Group’s Supplier Award for the years 2006-2007. Schaeffler decided to present Gühring with this honour on the basis of the company’s preeminent performance during the period with respect to innovation, quality, cost, and delivery. A further reason given for the award was Gühring’s international presence.

During Schaeffler’s recent Supplier Days event, Dr. Jörg Gühring, president of the Gühring oHG management board, accepted the award presented by Maria-Elisabeth Schaeffler, a Schaeffler Group partner. “We are reliant on a well-established and effective partnership with you,” said Schaeffler.

In addition, Dr. Jürgen M. Geißinger, president of Schaeffler’s management board, emphasized that suppliers are an essential link in the Schaeffler process chain.

Guhring, which produces sophisticated tooling systems, has been associated with Schaeffler for more than 50 years. It has established subsidiaries worldwide that ensure reliable, efficient tool supply to international Schaeffler plants.

The Schaeffler Supplier Award is not the only accolade Gühring oHG has received from international industrial companies with which it partners. Among others, the company has earned the Volkswagen Group Award in the category of Managerial Performance.
